This museum is at Union, Illinois, north east of Chicago. This is one of the largest and the best volunteer museums anywhere and worthily records the central place of Chicago in the Railway revolution.

Chicago once had busy electric interurban routes to South Bend, Milwaukee and Elgin. This is a car from the Chicago Northshore.

Everyone has heard of the Wabush Cannonball. Working hard, Wabush 1601, passes at speed.

On boarding this Chicago P.C.C. trolley car, we were told that it was unique and the only one to escape scrapping. The very next day we saw one somewhere else.To put the record straight, this is the only one from Chicago left although there are a car in Chicago colours in Kenosha, seen below.
