Eagle Lake State Park is in Southern Wisconsin, between Madison and Milwaukee. It is a sandy area next to a lake (no swimming while we were there due to coliforms) and each tent site had a hedge around it and shade.

This is taken on the nature walk which starts from the camp ground. One evening a group from the University in Madison came down to lead a star party. In the clear air away from the city, one could see the galaxy, and it was a great night for satilette watching.

First thing in the morning, there were about six sandhill cranes, and this picture was taken from the road leading into the camping area with a disposi camera.

Wisconsin State Parks have a junior range programme which Deborah enjoyed working through. Her she is doing an experiment on condensation with a little help from a friend. There were a family of these chipmunks living on our camping area.

Kenosha is about three quarters of an hour away by car, with full shoping. It also has the waterfront streetcar, here seen at the lighthouse terminus.
