Guild Charter
Chens Champions is a casual guild currently running Horde side on the Deathwing realm. The pirmay focus of our guild is to offer players a casual gaming experience while preventing the free-roaming immaturity found among some of the players of the game.
Guild Organization
Guild Master : The guild founder. Currently: Tzia.
Old Guard: One of the original officers of Chens Champions in its previous incarnation on Quel'dorei.
Currently: Locstock, Rivey.
Officer: The highest obtainable rank for non-founders. Has full privelages to invite/remove, promote/demote, access to Officer chat, edit player notes, etc. Responsable for maintaing guild order and representing our guild to outside sources.
Currently: None.
Honor Guard: An esteemed position. Honor Guards have the privlage of inviting new members and viewing officer notes made. Honor Guards are those who have consistently demonstrated a willingess to go 'above and beyond' as well as some dedication to the guild.
Currently: None
Member: The basic position of any member of CC. Someone who has shown sufficent interest in the guild and the game to be considered for the long term. This status is usually reached after a week of probation.
Probie: New recruits to the guild are given this postion until they can demonstrate what it takes to be a Member. All new recruits have a one week period in which their activity and behavior will be more closely monitored as pointed out in the guild policy page.
Rules of Conduct
Members are expected to behave in an honorable manner, to treat one another with courtesy and respect, and to display good WoW etiquette at all times. Failure to follow the rules lsited here may lead to disciplinary action up to and including removal from the guild.
1. Harassment and discrimination of other players: Chens Champions does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Please be aware that we have a very diverse membership, and that odds are the female character you're talking to actually is female. Measure your speech accordingly.
2. Foul language: We are a mature guild. As such guild members are expected to communicate in a civilized manner. Although, occasional expletives and foul language will be expected and generally overlooked.
3. Drama: Chens Champions wants to promote a guild atmosphere of harmony and tolerance. Should an issue arise with another guild member, please do your best to resolve the issue privately between yourselves. If necessary, you may request that an officer intervene. Should you have a concern about guild policy, please feel welcome to confer with an officer at any time. Your feedback is always welcome and appreciated.
4. "Barrens Syndrome:" We would like to avoid the Guild chat from becoming what is commonly referred to as "Barrens Chat" by experienced Horde. This includes things such as: excessive swearing, text message typing (i.e. "can ne1 plz help me w/ qust i need 2 do"), derogatory statements made towards other players, typing in ALL CAPS, and certain types of statements or "jokes" made about aging washed-up TV and Movie actors that tend to crowd up chat. (yes, you know who I'm talking about)
5. We encourage our members not to start or participate in discussions relating to generalizations made in the game pertaining to class and class talents. These "X class is better than Y class" or "A is better than B talent build" discussions serve no real purpose and tend to cause more discord than the dissemination of actual knowledge. Know now that there is no "one great class" and that each has strengths and weaknesses that make it better suited for certain roles and tasks. This is not to discourage actual intellegent disucssion about for example: what talent build may be better for Tanking for a Warrior, or the highest Burst Damage build for a Shaman.
6. Though not strictly forbidden, we strongly encourage our members to make CC their home and not have any Horde characters in other guilds on our realm. (Deathwing)
