Shadow of the Mountains

Book Review - By Lauren aka Elven Princess Of The Sea

There weren't any doctors there in that part of Arkansas unless you counted an herb woman named Maeva Wilding. Although she was important to the plot, I disliked her instantly. I never expected her death.

Glen Rawlins was particularly interesting. He was pretty close to Maeva, though, so I didn't like him much at first.

The feud between the Carters and Satterfields was interesting because there was a person from each family who was in love with the other. That was sweet.

Maeva affected Cheney and Shiloh's relationship and her death caused so much hurt that I can't say this was my favorite book. Still, the Morrises wrote an interesting and emotional book that really reached the readers.
