| I saw this movie back when it came out I just wasn't up to writing a good review, bad ones are so much more fun to write. Anyway, on with the review. This movie was awesome! Do I dare say the best Batman ever? I do. Christian Bale is the best Batman, much better than Val Kilmer but anything from Batman and Robin was a joke. Moving on. Christopher Nolan did a great job making Batman the asshole that he is, it's highly disturbing in all honesty. The scarecrow is creepy and played with great effectiveness by Cillian Murphy. He just seems remorseless. The special effects are good and I actually jumped when the Scarecrow goes after the mob boss. Most of the effects are used at the end: when then noxious "crazy" gas goes into the city and people start killing each other. My favorite part had to be the way it tied into the other Batman movies at the end. Now I dont give the movie total raves some of it was down right cheesy (some of the writing, Batmans appearance on the fumes, or the Asian guy in the beginning). But my pet peeve was how Bale talked in a super deep voice when he was Batman to such an extent it was distracting. But overall, I loved it and think any Batman lover would! So see it and buy it I know I will. I also know something else, never have the words "I'm Batman" rung more true. |
