| Judy Garland Time Line Date: June 10th, 1922 The day the wonderfully talented Frances Ethel Gumm was born. She was later on in life to be known as Judy Garland. Date: Friday, December 26th 1924 That night was her first �formal� performance, at two-and-a-half years old. She had a solo, Jingle Bells. Date: 1935 This was the year that Judy signed her contract with MGM, at the age of 13. Date: November 16th, 1935 When she was 13, but to the public, known as 12, she had a radio performance. This radio show was very different from others though, the studio was called and told that Judy�s father was in the hospital, but would be listening. He died the next afternoon. Date: Around September in 1936 Pigskin Parade came out, her first film. This was after doing radio shows. Date: November of 1937 Thoroughbreds Don�t Cry was her first screen appearance with Mickey Rooney, her friend who was an actor with MGM as well. Date: 1939 The Wizard Of Oz comes out. She was very surprised to be finding out that she would get the part, and was told on her 16th birthday. Date: October 10th, 1939 Judy placed her handprints in Grauman's forecourt during a ceremony. Date: July 28th, 1941 Judy marries her first husband, David Rose. Date: 1944 Meet Me In St.Louis is released. Date: June 7, 1944 Judy filed for divorce from David Rose. Date: June 15, 1945 Judy married Vincente Minnelli. Date: March 12, 1946 Liza Minnelli born (Judy's first daughter). Date: 1948 MGM purchases Irving Berlin�s Broadway smash Annie Get Your Gun specifically for Judy, and paying $650,000, the most they had ever spent for a musical property. Date: March 1951 Judy began divorce proceedings against Vincente Minnelli. Date: June 8, 1952 Judy married Sid Luft. Date: November 21, 1952 Lorna Luft born (Judy's second daughter). Date: January 5, 1953 Ethel Gumm (Judy's mother) died. Date: March 29, 1955 Joey Luft born (Judy's son). Date: September 28, 1962 Judy filed for divorce from Sid Luft. Date: May 1964 Mary Jane (Susie) Gumm died. Date: November 14, 1965 Judy married Mark Herron (they separated within 6 months). Date: March 15, 1969 Judy married Mickey Deans.
