About making my snowboards

I have decided to make a board with the following characteristics:

• must carve well - not too soft
• must be wide enough to allow Flow bindings and soft boots
• must be short enough ti fit in my small car
• must handle well at slower speeds too - not too stiff
• must be durable. (reinforced tail for standing up without damage)
• hard base for thin snowcover early snowboarding
• edges must fit perfectly for hard snow (Eastern conditions)

Hopefully this list of needs will not require too many compromises.

I will use this site to document my progress.

April 25, 2005. Disaster! My vacuum pump broke down during the bagging process and this resulted in a board for the dump! I have documented it anyway so that others may learn from my mistakes.
