NOTE: The banner you see above is not a final product. ECA (pronounced "eek A") is a new fledgling project that Im starting. This is my first attempt at a banner to post on web sites that would like to support my efforts. Please send suggestions and flames to [email protected]. With some work this little ditty could change some lives towards the better.

I recently submited an article to my local newspaper for a special community section for the 9-11 paper. In it I mentioned that we need to speak kindly of police officers and appreciate more than ever those who would rush to the scene in order to protect us or save us, including Emergency and Fire Teams. I also mentioned that we should see to it that thier treats (Donuts and Beverages) should be taken care of, if we were to see them on a break. Thats what "Random Acts of Kindness" is about. RAoK, is not exactly a new thing, its an idea that has popped up before in churchs around America, there is even a web page... [Here]. My take on it is just a little different, although I definatly support what RAoK originaly is, my focus is on those who have or would put themsleves in harms way in order to save anothers life; Police, Fire, and Emergency Response Teams, as well as the men and woman in combat, and retired or passed away (especialy those who dead in the line of duty), and their families.

Here are some ideas:

If you spot a person, listed above, on a "donut break" try to seaze the opportunity to pay for their snack, instead of speaking condemnations about them.

Teach your children to scream with glee when they see the afformentioned.

When you see someone in uniform, go out of your way to shake their hand, and tell them "Thank You".

Adopt a Police, Fire, or Emergancy Response worker, and sponser their snack breaks or send them secret admirer gifts.

Sponser special recocnition for families of those who have died in duty.

Have calanders printed up with officers, sell door to door and use the proceeds towards the above.

Incourage your work place to sponser.

Make ribbons for people to put on their car antenas recognizing those who have dead in the line of duty.

Find out how you can start up an organization in your area to do all of the above.

Hi there, I'm Charles Miner, but you can call me Chazz. I live, work, and play in a part of Earth, known by most who visit here, as Gods Country, otherwise known as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Its beautiful up here, all seasons of the year offer picture/postcards perfect scenery. I can mostly be found in the East Central part of the UP, in the Soo, or Manistique.

I'm currently looking for part time or contractual work in the Chippewa or Mackinaw county area, doing what I do best... Technology Services.

My specialty is office and communications technology, and I have 15+ years experience in the field. I've worked for big corporations such as Dow Corning World HQ and American Floral Services World HQ, as well as MIS deployment services for Genesys Hospital in Flint, during its opening. I've learned a bunch from working for 2 employment agencies, and many other jobs. My most recent job was being a senior technician and site trainer for a division of GE, known as National TechTeam. Unfortunately global and local economics forced them to shut down the site, putting myself and almost 400 others in the unemployment line. Add four years, combined, administrating my own computer consultation business, Missing Link Technologies, and if ya throw in the fact that I love working with people on a personal level, and that I'm very creative... Ya got a good egg, that's me... That's Chazz.
