About the Library
Mzumbe University - Dar es Salaam campus library was established when
the University's campus was erected in 2005. It was started under the leadership of Mrs. M. Kuzilwa, the Director of library
and technical services. The library is within the campus which is located in Ilala district along Olympio street facing
City Christian Church in Dar es salaam.
Currently, the library is stocked with very current and relevant materials needed by
students, researchers and consultants in areas of Finance, Business administration, Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship,
Public administration, Procurement as well as Management.
The library provides access to both print and electronic information resources including number of print and electronic
journals and books. It has a physical holding of more than 2,300 books and over 20 printed journals and a number
of electronic journal databases.
As one among academic units at the campus, plans are underway to enable
the library to carryout research and consultancy on matters to do with aspects of information acess, generation, organization,
supply, dissemination and utilization. Currently we are working closely with researchers from main campus as to come up
with the way forward.
Monday to Friday the library is opened at 8:00am and closed at 22:00pm.
Saturdays and sundays it is opened at 8:00am and closed at 18:00pm.
During official public holidays the library remain closed .
