The Industrial Engineering Team at Kenworth has selected these four stations for improvements. The ultimate goal is to increase productivity, while continue making Kenworth desirable place to work. After narrowing the project the hope is to improve the quality of product, the efficiency of the assembly, the amount of waste produced and the safety of the employees. Kenworth has stated that they wish the processes to be reviewed and documented. Using such techniques as spaghetti diagrams, flow charts and content lists were suggested. With the time allotment of one quarter, it is hoped that an area of focus will be narrow enough to be studied, documented, improvements suggested, possible improvements implemented and have the changes evaluated.
