So where to go from here? The plan is to gather data. Many trips to Kenworth to observe the employees and how they move to perform each task will be made. This is so the process that each employee goes through in a given day can be understood. This will help find unnecessary and possibly damaging or repetitive movements so that they can be eliminated to increase efficiency and safety.

We will also gather scrap samples to find exactly what scrap is being produced and how much. This will be an indicator of what areas are being wasteful and may help find a possible cause that can be revised to decrease waste. Our final area is quality. With the randomized inspection of three vehicles a day, and a corresponding scorecard on each truck, we have access to valuable data. We can find areas where the quality are poor or inconsistent and work to improve this areas' quality. We are all looking forward to working on this project and creating ideas for improvement of the process, but our main goal is to implement these modifications and see some positive results.
