Borano is an adventurous creature, and he loves to experience new places and people, which is probably part of why he loves life on the Plethar so much. His adventurous streak makes him an enthusiastic explorer and a brave warrior, and there are few places that he will not go. He has a strong body and a strong spirit, and while it surprises some, Borano has a sense of humor that no situation can quell. The only thing that really ever gets him down is being trapped in the middle of a fight between Erra and Hkarag.

His childhood, like any Sii'Tonaa's youth, wasn't an easy one, but Borano did well enough. He learned quickly, and had the spirit to survive adversity with a laugh. He didn't have a mother or father or bond to care for him, but he had the Sii'Tonaa- brothers and sisters to support him, and mothers, fathers, and grandparents to teach and protect him. Borano flourished in the hard life that he had been handed by the universe, and his struggles were rewarded when he graduated Arin'len's 7th Academy as a full fledged Sii'Tonaa. As his first graduated assignment, Borano was made part of the small Sii'Tonaa crew of the Plethar Hevese.

For many, the assignment was something of a joke, as many Tonaa require base planets to draw their powers from, but for Borano this placement was nothing short of a dream come true. Life as a spacer, even if it was something of ruse, would not be easy, but it would provide Borano with a kind of freedom that very few beings ever attained. It was the kind of freedom that his childhood had taught him he desired more than anything else in the universe.

Of course, even this new part of his life was not without its own problems. The other Sii'Tonaa chosen to work with him on the Plethar found it hard to get along for some time, but eventually, as years slowly began to pass by them all, the four dragons became more and more of a team. Once things settled down, and Borano was confident that he had a good grasp on his job, the male dragon exercised his new found freedom and went out and adopted a daughter of sorts. Aarenai, the young Digdra Gon was a source for more fights between the Sii'Tonaa group, but eventually, with Borano's gentle pushing, she became the ship's resident youngling and Borano's spoiled legacy.
