About me
In 2007, when I was in Junior High school, I got many achievements either in academic or non-academic. PASKIBRA is one of my favorite club and hobby as well as Scout. My group won the competition of PASKIBRA in city level as the 1st winner. I also got the 1st rank in VII grade and IX grade. The story continued by UWC in Southeast Asia selection, it leads me to join with Sampoerna Academy in Palembang. I got the information from Educational Department of Aceh. I was recommended by my last school to join UWC selection conducted by Sampoerna Foundation for FIB curriculum. I completed all of the requirements. Finally, my application form was accepted and continued to the next steps.
I gave my effort for that selection such as in
written test, interview and physiological test. There were
eleven students from different schools in Aceh and there is
only one seat in UWC Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, I did
not pass the selection. I was very disappointed with myself.
I thought there was no more chance for scholarship like what
I hoped at that time. A few days after National Examination, a letter came
to my school. It said that there was a scholarship for the
middle-low financial student who has a good performance in
academic and non-academic from Sampoerna Academy. I thought
that it was my chance. I decided to join this program. I
completed all of the requirements as what I did in UWC
selection as well. It is kind of a similar application form. Finally, after I joined the selection test of
Sampoerna Academy, I was accepted in this Sampoerna Academy
program. There was also a problem between me and my family.
They felt doubtful in giving permission to me. However I
could persuade them by explaining my future plans of having
this Sampoerna Academy program. In the middle of year 2010, I started to have a
school in SMA Negeri Sumatera Selatan (Sampoena Academy).
This was the first time for me to have a school far apart
from my family. Furthermore, this school applies boarding
school system. These are the challenges for me. I have to
survive in living here in order to help my parent especially
in financial problem. Day by day, I improve myself in many things. Many
skills I could accomplish here especially my leadership
skills. When I was 10th grader, I could not speak
in English fluently since I had not an English course in
Junior High School. However, I kept improving myself until I
proved that I could get 7 subject of IGCSE International
Examination provided by school. Besides, I was becoming the
best student in my class.Since 2010, Palembang has been being my current city.
It challenges me to adapt well amongst the students either
in SMAN Sumatera Selatan or outside of school. It makes me
understand well that everyone has different characters from
each other.I thank to God who has given the best for me. I could
not believe that this is not a dream. It seems like I was
dreaming to enter an International School which usually
costs much money. I had to travel a long journey to reach my
dream in my life. Now I am 11th grader, it is a
chance for me to explore more about myself. By having this
student exchange program, I believe that I could support the
vision of the school which is to be the premier school in
South Sumatra for creating future leaders. In conclusion, it was about my short story of my
life. I would suggest my programs which will be explained
below. Those programs could show that relationships amongst
the students are essential.
