the 'Truth' shall set you Free
My life had no meaning until that lovely Friday in March, 1999. Some say it was luck, I
say "all was destiny." The symptoms came on gradually, you all know--carpal
tunnel from typing in the chat rooms at 4am, the addition of words like "microt"
and "yotz" into the vocabulary, feeling the "living death" coming on
Sunday afternoons realizing it would be 5 days until the "fix." . . .
And then one day in my Trusts & Estates class, Professor Durka called me to attention. I stood slowly to answer the evil General's barrage of questions. The white haired professor with a glass eye asked "How do we determine a testator's capacity?"
Any easy question, I knew it, no problem. I answered, "You look for certain characteristics such as Nebari mind control, Luxan Hyper-rage, the Delvian Unity, and Sebacean Heat Delirium"
"Come again counselor?" He asked with a perplexed look on his face.
"Hold on a second sir, I've got to respond to this post about whether John and Aeryn did it" I said delightedly.
"Counselor, I think we know who is suffering from a lack of capacity."
The entire class erupted into laughter. But I didn't understand, I mean I had answered the Question correctly. The Nebarian mind control alone can lead a family member to contest a will.
Pretty soon, I began skipping class altogether preferring to catalog my VCR tapes, join secret societies, make up cheers to use my pom-poms, and update my calendar to make sure I was free for the next chat. TRUST ME I had it bad. And then Farscape Anonymous came along. A group I could identify with. We all LOVE Farscape. We cringe when Crichton gets beat unconscious by the Ratman Namtar, we laugh when D'argo gets propositioned by the "female" Stanz.
