†The book of Galatians comes from the New Testament part of the Bible. Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul and is believed to be the earliest document belonging to the New Testament. Galatia is the location of a church that Paul started but after he had left, there came a lot of other religious ideas that sort of competed with what Paul taught. These ideas started to confuse members of the church and as a result, Paul wrote this letter to the Galatians to correct them in their thoughts. As we study this book we're going to see some disagreements that were brought up and about proper understanding of salvation. Then there's also the famous "fruit of the Spirit" passage and how our physical lives can reflect a spiritually saved life. Good stuff, we promise, okay? |
