Our Experience

CEWI Foundation in the year 2004 had executed the same program touch English language for the schoolchildren in evacuation barracks of Tsunami victim, that thing is done by initiative of  CEWI Foundation looks the situation, all schoolchildren cannot follow the Lesson in school because their building school have destroyed effected of Tsunami disaster. CEWI Foundation staffs have experienced in instruction system to children of Tsunami victim, that located in Lampoh Kawat village in Trieng Gadeng sub district, Perade village in Pante Raja sub district, Geumeroh in Geulempang Tiga sub district and Mesjid Berabo in Padang Tiji sub district all villages is including to region of Pidie district. CEWI Foundation staffs have been able to adapt and interaction with all students. In April 2005 the CEWI Foundation assigned the staffs to participate in training which supported by Bina Swadaya in Banda Acheh concerning “Teaching Method English Language to the Children". In the year 2005 CEWI Foundation has made training of computer to 50 refugee of conflict victim in Central Aceh and Bener Meriah Sub-Province. In the year 2006 CEWI Foundation made computer training to 20 former combatant of Aceh Free Movement in Bandar Baru Sub-Province of Pidie

Background

Established in 2006, CEWI foundation is a local non-profit organization with the simple objective of helping children stay in school and women empowerment. This is achieved by providing food, shelter, clothing, educational needs, medical help, and other services to talented, needy children and women 

CEWI Foundation is exempt from government  tax status ID number is 06-1148608. N.P.W.P 02.418.757.3-101.000.

Our Mission

To offer an opportunity to talented disadvantaged children for a better life today and the hope of a brighter, prosperous tomorrow.

The Children for Education and Women Initiative Foundation mission is to ensure every child and women a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.

CEWI provides a strong, effective voice for all the children and women of Aceh who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves.

We pay particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and women those with disabilities.

CEWI encourages preventive investment before they get sick or into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown and gender equality.

CEWI began in 2006 and is a private, nonprofit organization supported by Donor and corporate grants and individual donations.  We have never taken government funds

To preserve the dignity of needy children and help them move beyond the stigma of poverty by offering them an opportunity to excel to their highest potential.

Our Purpose

To provide basic living essentials such as food, shelter, clothing and medical needs so that young boys and girls can continue their education, rather than being forced to engage in demeaning jobs or early marriages.
