We see our patients
by scheduled appointment. This ensures that our clients
have the time they need to ask questions and have their
concerns addressed, and that the doctors have the time
they need to perform a thorough physical examination,
run any necessary diagnostic tests, and discuss in detail
any necessary treatment plans with our clients. The standard
appointment time is 30 minutes. Certain situations may
call for a shorter time allotment such as brief recheck
examinations, certain booster vaccinations, or recheck
testing. |

It is our goal to accomodate all of our patients and their
owners when they need us. We understand that there will be
circumstances in which an appointment time may not be available
and our clients may feel that thier pet needs to be seen that
day for a concerning medical condition. If this is the case
we offer the following options:
- If it is not an emergency, but you feel your pet needs
to be evaluated, your pet may be "dropped-off" at the clinic
to be evaluated at the first available opportunity by a
doctor on duty. We will have you fill out a history form
and request that you leave a number where you can be contacted
for further questions and updates.
- Occasionally "after-hours" appointments can be made after
a doctor's shift at her discretion. These appointments are
reserved for non-emergencies, but cases that need to be
evaluated the same day in the owner's presence. There is
an additional charge for this appointment.
- If you feel your pet needs to be evaluated immediately,
an emergency appointment can be made. The doctor will stop
seeing regular appointments to evaluate and stabilize your
pet, and start initiating treatment as necessary. There
is an emergency visit charge in addition to the examination
fee.
When a client elects to drop their pet off for evaluation
for a medical problem, we ask that our clients be patient
and they WILL be contacted by a doctor at the first given
opportunity to discuss their pet's condition and treatment
recommndations.
