It is from our
understanding of God's Will for His church that Our Mission has emerged.
This broad statement is expressed practically in Our Purpose and influences
our future through Our Vision. As a church we seek to live by Our Values and
rely on the special trust we have placed in Our Leadership team. Our
Ministry Structure shows how all our activities fit together.

God's Will
God's will, as expressed in His Word
the Bible, is to see people won to the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19,20),
built up in their faith in a holistic way (Colossians 1:28), and then
trained and released for the ministry that God has for them. This ministry
is both in the church (1 Corinthians 12) and in the world (2 Corinthians
5:18). We believe God's desire is that CBCC facilitate this process in the
life of its people.

Our Vision
Our vision: Ministering to people for
growth in Christ Ministering
-
Meet people at their point of need
(Isaiah 61:1-3), so that we:
-
see them come to Christ and grow in
their relationship with him,
-
assist them towards physical,
emotional, psychological and relational wholeness,
-
help them to fulfil God's purpose
for their lives through ministering to others.
-
As a passionate, Spirit-filled
community of God's people who are dedicated to God, each other and
reaching the world for Christ (Romans 12: 1, Matthew 28: 19,20), we seek
to minister to individuals, families, our local community and the wider
world.
-
Following God's inspired Word and
leading, with ministry that is relevant, we will grow in numbers and
closeness to our God, whilst fulfilling our desire to plant
self-sustaining churches in areas of need.

Our Values
The purpose statement of the church
is based on and empowered by the following core values:-
1. We are Christian
-
We follow Jesus Christ as Lord and
Saviour and respond to Him as the head of our church, His spirit as our
guide and His word (The Bible) as our final authority.
-
We strive to do the best that we
can in all that we do.
2. We are evangelistic
-
Lost and needy people throughout
the world matter to God, and therefore ought to matter to the church and
its people.
-
We seek to be culturally relevant
while remaining doctrinally pure.
-
Where possible, our ministries and
facilities are geared to our target community.
-
We believe we must respond,
individually and corporately, to the poor and needy in the world and stand
for justice and against oppression on their behalf.
-
We will work cooperatively with
other churches to reach our community for Christ.
3. We are a worshipping people
-
We believe that anointed teaching
and worship is the catalyst for transformation in individual's lives and
in the church.
-
We encourage each other to glorify
God through our lives, as well as through our corporate and individual
worship.
4. We are a caring community
5. We are an equipping church
-
We want our church to operate as a
unified community of servants, trained and supported by the leadership for
ministry, where we use the spiritual gifts, abilities, skills, time, money
and resources which God has given to each of us.
-
We desire to bring everyone into
full maturity in Jesus Christ.
-
We believe that spiritually mature
servant believers should lead our church with giftedness appropriate to
their ministry.

Our Leaders
The Senior leadership team, under the
guidance of the Holy Spirit, is responsible for the direction, organisation
and total oversight of the church. It is composed of the senior pastor,
together with overseers of administration, finances, property and overseers
of each area of the Church. Various ministry leaders and home group leaders work with the
overseers in their different areas of ministry.

Our Ministry Structure
As a church, we realise that people
who come along to various activities are all at different stages in their
journey with God. As shown in the diagram below, some may not have a
personal relationship with God (ie Community), whilst others may have just
committed their lives to Christ or may be new to the Church and are
attending services regularly (ie Crowd). Some may have committed themselves
to the Church through membership (Congregation), whilst others are committed
to ministry, whether that be in a cross-cultural setting, within the church,
or within the community (ie Committed and Core).

Our church seeks to offer activities
for people no matter where they are in their journey with God. We have
programs that minister to people with different levels of commitment. We
hope that as God continues to work in peoples' lives, their commitment to
God and to further growth and ministry will increase.
