The main character of Detective Conan is Kudo Shinichi, a high-school detective with amazing powers of deduction. After following a suspicious character, he was incapacitated and force fed poison. Miraculously, the poison didn't kill him, but his physical size regressed to that of a 6 year old. Kudo now lives at a friend's residence as "Edogawa Conan", hoping to find clues concerning the poison and criminals who shrank him.
