Before you read on, you might want to learn about the unusual words used in Dragon Ball Z. There is a lot of strange vocabulary you might want to know the meaning of. This little guide is pretty helpful if you're confused about the vocabulary in DBZ.

Dragon Ball Z would have to be one of the most popular Anime series here in America... Well, when Anime was first introduced in America anyway. With toys, clothing, games, trading cards, battling cards and soon to come jewelry, no wonder it's taking America by storm... Then again, other Anime series are coming over so DBZ's kinda falling back.

What do you think Dragon Ball Z is? Well, Dragon Ball Z is the sequel to the series Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z is then followed up by another series called Dragon Ball GT. I'm doing a review on DBZ first because it's a lot more interesting than DB or DBGT. That doesn't mean that I won't do reviews on those, of course I'll cover those series in the future.

The original series, Dragonball, was based on the manga by Toriyama Akira, which started up about 10 years ago and began by telling the story of an incredibly strong boy and his quest for 7 magic balls which when collected, would call for a dragon that could grant one wish. At first it was an adventure-type show with a little bit of martial arts. After some time, the main hero of the series grew up and after 153 episodes and the show's name was changed to Dragonball Z (still based on the manga, although the name of the manga didn't change) becoming then more martial-arts oriented.

DBZ is a story that follows a young Saiyan (a superhuman born with super abilities on the planet Vegeta) named Goku through his battles against evil. He is accompanied by friends and allies of his. Click here to learn more about some of the main characters. They all go through countless sagas, fighting evil. From Goku's brother, Raditz, to the Android Cell and beyond. Goku and his friends go to the end for justice.

The saga continues and after about 300 episodes (I think) DBZ ends and DBGT picks up where DBZ left off. I would have to say that DBZ is the best out of the Dragon Ball series. That's only my opinion though. That wraps up my review on Dragon Ball Z.

Wait, I still have links to other DBZ sites. They're good sites so visit them when you have the time to.

  • Dr. Gero's Laboratory -- This is a really cool site. The main attraction is The Little Saiya-lings. It's a cute comic strips, actually a bunch of comic strips, that CDC drew. There are also links and other fun things to do there.
  • Ginga GIRI GIRI!! -- A must see site. This site has total humor and good information on DBZ as well. There's a totally cool shrine to Vegeta there and almost everything on this site is cool. I'd go on about this site, but that would just take up your time.
[Anime Web Turnpike] That's just a fraction of the DBZ web sites out there. So just go to Anipike, they'll give you a whole list of sites that you can go to. Well click on "Z Warrior Trixie" to your right and it should take you over there.
