Completed my first succesful online purchase this week when I received Utah Saints' '92 cd in the mail.  Couldn't find it in any store in Ottawa, so I held my breath and tried online.  Found another one I was looking for too, but it would cost me nearly fifty bucks.

I'm starting to like the wishlist feature I've found on a couple of sites - Amazon, MyMusic.ca....  handy for reminding myself what I'm still trying to track down:

- The Seven Samurai (DVD) (can't find it!)
- Amadeus (DVD) (less than $20 at Rogers Video)
- The Passion of Ayn Rand (DVD documentary)
- A Storm of Swords (don't have time to read it yet, but it's a 'must read' eventually).

Mymusic.ca also has a cool 'Desert 5' feature - what five cds would you bring with you?  My picks:

'Utah Saints' - Utah Saints
'MCMXCad' - Enigma (which I still don't have on cd)
'Divine Comedy' - Milla (the cd I can't find for less than fifty)
'Rhythm Nation' - Janet Jackson

Then I couldn't decide on a fifth one.  I tentatively chose 'White Room' by the KLF, even though I absolutely despise the B side.  I think I'd actually take a personally mixed cd of a bunch of different stuff.

No idea why I found it so interesting to compile my list - it isn't as though I'm going to have time to decide what music to bring in anticipation of being stranded on an island.  Besides which my batteries would die pretty fast anyway - assuming I did bring a cd player and it survived whatever crash landed me on the island.  A similar question came up in the quiz LA and I shared - what three items would you bring?  Forget the music - I'd bring a generator, an extension cord and a giant searchlight.  HELP!!!

I'm having a lazy day today - thus my ability to update my site :)  Sorry I couldn't think of something more interesting to write about - but when I've got the time, I better use it!
