The bedroom blinds were a success!  I even went so far as to do some window washing afterward.  Unfortunately one of the bedroom panes can't be done from the inside, but otherwise they're looking pretty good now.

The night at my co-worker's was a very cool evening; got to meet a whole whack of new people.  Rather easy to remember names this time, since there were two other Chris's there.  Didn't win the Risk game, but I was at least in a position to make a go for it by the end so I'm not too disappointed with my performance. Somebody brought along a Crokenol (sp?) board and I was able to inflict my prowess on all concerned, except for one particular player who bested me rather easily.  Revenge - I will have my revenge!  So that was fun.

Sunday was a laundry, put more stuff away, etc. kind of day until the evening, when I went to Tim Horton's to meet the 'chick' I met online through my personal ad.  My nerves were a bit shot leading up to it, but we happened to arrive at the same time and found each other easily.  She was just as easy to talk to in person as she's been on the phone, and time flew by just as fast.  That, needless to say, is a good thing.  Tonight we've got a date with
LOTR; my third time, but this is one of those movies you can't see enough of.  I'm starting to feel the same way about her.

I'm enjoying every step of this relationship-in-bloom.  Like I said to her on the phone last night, this is the part you miss once you're married.  Never again (presuming you live with your wife happily ever after) do you get this nervous/excited feeling about meeting someone new and getting to know them, wondering if you'll accidently offend them or make a fool of yourself, etc.  Ideally my marriage would have lasted forever and I was prepared to make sure it did, but there's an upside to everything and this is definitely one of those.

On a completely different subject:
7th Sea is the card game of choice among the guys lately.  Partly because there haven't been any women in our lives to spend money on, and partly because the game is officially out of print so what we can find in stores now is all there's gonna be.  I hit the jackpot a couple of weeks ago, cleaning out a bargain bin for us.  Last night I checked another place downtown and hit another one, finding a bunch more stuff.  If I keep this up I'm going to earn some kind of nickname...  arr, matey!
