It is with great sadness that we must report the death
of our friend and past member Kirk Janes.

Kirk was a long time president and co-founder of
the latest incarnation of our club.
He started out fencing Foil and Epee, and
eventually found his calling with Sabre.
He eventually took classes at SF State, and fenced at Halberstadt,
but would still come back once in a while to fence us,
and to go out for pizza afterwards.
He was an artist, a filmmaker, and entrepreneur,
starting his own bike messenger company.
He will be greatly missed.
