Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 260! Cub Scout Pack 260 meets on Monday nights at 7:00pm throughout the school year at Central City Lions Park. There are meetings for the boys to complete activities with other boys their age. These are called den meetings. Once a month a pack meeting is held. We use this opprotunity to gather all the dens together in the presence of all the parents. We give out awards and show off our new projects and skills in a positive and upbeat atmosphere. We also have activities for the whole pack thoughout the summer. Dens are created based on the boy's current grade. Boys in first grade meet together and are called Tiger Cubs. They complete five acheivements and as many electives as they wish. The first badge a second through fifth grader will earn will be the Bobcat badge. This gets him introduced to what Cub Scouting is all about. Boys in the second grade are in the Wolf den. They complete 12 acheivements to earn the Wolf Badge and they may choose from many electives to complete. Boys in the third grade are in the Bear den. They may choose to complete 12 out of a possible 20 acheivements to earn the Bear badge. They may also complete some of the many electives offered after they receive their rank. Bears will also earn the Whittlin' Chip Card which reinforces knife safety in youth. Wolves and Bears may earn an Arrow Point for completing 10 electives before the end of May. Each boy may earn several Arrow Points. Boys in the fourth and fifth grade are called Webelos. They earn the Webelos Badge by completing the required Webelos Activity Pins. Enough activity pins, along with other requirements, will qualify a boy to receive the Arrow of Light. This is the highest award in Cub Scouting and we award it every year. Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos may earn belt loops and pins in the Cub Scout Sports and Acedemics Program. The Cub Scouts in Pack 260 keep very busy. In addition to their regular meetings, they manage to find time for these activities: |
