TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER - BRICK AND TILE PROJECT

CONSTRUCTION OF MODEL UNITS

The project includes the construction of model units with domes and vaults.
SSB is used in wall construction of the main model unit below. It will have a dome and two vaulted sections with different orientation when the roof is completed.
 

Trainees successfully learn ancient techniques of vault and dome construction.
 

MINI-DOME CONSTRUCTION

The economic goal of the Project is to reduce the cost of homebuilding by 80%. This could be achieved by teaching unskilled trainees construct walls with Stabilized Soil Blocks, and build domed roofs with sun-dried brick. Here, trainees start experimenting with a minidome.
