Our activity is not a glorious one.
It emphasizes achievement, not promises.
Even now, we still don't know why.
Why we stand at rapt attention, under the blazing sun.
Bathing in the stench of our bodies as officers curse our incompetence, when all the time we know that behind his uniform, he was once as "stupid" as we were.
Why we do push ups, about face or crawl? Bend our
bodies to pulp without raising a whisper?
Was it respect? Indifference? Or fear?
But one thing is true: We have learned.
For this is the TRADITION of yesterday,
the CHALLENGE of today,
