    FONT SITES

Fonts are a whole lot of fun, both making them, and collecting them. Check out some of these great font sites! Do you want to contribute to these links? Whoa -- I've added only a handful of my fave font links, and this page is really filling up! Scroll to the bottom for Potterish Font Links

Typesource by Proxy - While Typesource.com is gone, the folks at TypOasis are maintaining TBP, a great source of all sorts of fontish info and fun. You gotta read The Many Faces of Arnold - Lookalike Fonts by Kevin Andrew Murphy! Not only is Lumos kindly mentioned (woohoo!) but the name of the original font is revealed. It's called "Ablefont"!

TypOasis - Hotspot of a font site!

Etherbrian - This artist is one of my heros. He manages to create in many different areas with results that are always swank and interesting. His fonts are cool, and don't dare miss his icons and wallpapers. Hail the Pixel King!

Divide by Zero - Probably my all around favorite font site. Full of phun phonts derived from sketches in class notebooks. I find the Tombots dingbats particularly enjoyable.

Larabie Fonts - Ray Larabie, the first font maker I ever started collecting from, has retired from the freeware font world. Fortunately, he still provides his vast assortment of free fonts for downloading. He made the "Blue Highway" font that I use all over my site.

Font Garden - Lots and lots of free fonts made by many different people.

Chank - Font funness abounds at Chank.com, where you can find awesome free fonts by famous people. And famous free fonts by awesome people. Hmm. Anyhoo, very cool. If I had money, I'd even buy fonts here.

FontFace Feature Font!FontFace Luminary linkback! - Lumos is font of the day for January 18th! Check out all the cool freeware and shareware fonts, as well as a daily font of the day, available at FontFace.

RobotJohnny.com - See the fonts by the creator of new classics like Turkey Sandwich and Big Fish Ensemble. Ah, don't you just love font names?

Fonthead Design - Nice freeware fonts are available at this site, and if you're looking to spend some moola you can get some of their non-freeware fonts! Home of the Good Dog fonts and SpillMilk.

FontDiner.com - Spiffy retro fonts for your 'puter! Both in free and not-quite-so-free varieties. Mmm, these fonts smell like chocolate malt . . .

Scriptorium - From Medieval uncials to Art Nouveau poster fonts, the Scriptorium produces lovely fonts that have an air of antiquity about them. They'll even let you download free trial versions of most of their fonts.

About Softy - If you are interested in making your own font, I'd recommend you check out Softy. This site provides a link to download Softy as well as *priceless* instructions on how to use it!

      potterish fonts

If you want fonts that are magical in appearance, and not specifically linked to Potter, try the Scriptorium. They have a script font there called Zothique which looks like it was born to ink its way across a Hogwarts acceptance letter!

Gem's Fonts - Fonts by Graham Meade. Find "Harry P" -- a fun recreation of the Harry Potter title lettering, and other fonts here.

CarpeSaponem Fonts - Well, just in case you came to the links page from elsewhere, here is a link to my fonts portal. ;-) Now with two Potterish fonts "Lumos" based on the cool font in the books, and "Parseltongue", a mysterious sort of font with serpentine accents.
