Getting My Groove Back

I still haven't fully gotten my voice back AND I still had this virus thing wearing me down.

My wife let me sleep the entire morning, so she helped the kids get ready for school.

Around 11:00am my parents came and I helped them with a project they'd been working on.  We got on the computer and did some desktop publishing stuff.

Contrary to what I thought would take place,  I realized that I had "tons" of energy for the Tio Leo's gig.   The place was packed and jumpin'.   I did well on my solo in Sing, Sing, Sing....   got a great audience reaction and I actually felt happy about it.   My technical approach to the drum kit worked well tonight,  and I was thinking (at least trying the best I can) of playing like Akira Jimbo.   The rest of the gig I was feeling very energetic, and only until we had finished,  had I felt very tired from the "virus".   I took me some time to break down the drum kit and pack everything into the van and go home.

I was utterly and totally exhausted from this gig.   But it was a very satisfying one for some reason.   I DID have a lot of friends supporting me....
