No Good Movies! After dropping my wife off at work this morning
I went to the local CompUSA to get some catridges for my inkjet printer.
Surprisingly, this big store didn't have any of the cartridges I
needed. I ended up buying a web design book I had been eyeing
for a long time, David Siegal's "Creating Killer Web Sites".
It's an elegantly designed book, showing the possibilities of designing
web pages that can be aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and functional
at the same time. It was on sale for 14.99, and the list
price was 45.00. What a bargain for such a great book.
And the website is awesome too: www.killersites.com
I went to the Starbucks next door and bought a Cafe Mocha. Then I went to a nearby Target to buy some new sunglasses and shop around for awhile, just biding my time before my lunch date with my wife. I had lunch at 11:30am with my wife and we went to Niban, a Japanese restaurant in the Clairemont Mesa area. It's a very popular lunch spot, the prices are very reasonable but the lines are long. We ate outside at one of those umbrella-covered patio tables. We talked about seeing one of the new movies out at the theatres, but again there was nothing worth watching, at least from our point of view. I just took it easy the rest of the day. It was another day off from playing music and I welcomed the rest and relaxation for a change. I was going to practice but remembered that
I again left my practice pad at one of the gigs we did recently.
I ended up practicing piano, which was something I hadn't done in
a while. It was nice to be playing piano again.
