SUNDAY        March 7, 1999

Ah, Sunday!

I truly cherish Sundays, when it's a nice day out and I know I don't have a gig that night.   Today is simply one of those days.   I had been feeling exhausted coming back from the tour this past Tuesday and then playing each night up to Friday at The Coconut Club.   What a blessing Sundays can be!

I wanted to read the Sunday paper today.  That's what I usually do when I have a free morning on Sunday.  Instead,  I ended up surfing the web for news and checked out some web sites.

I didn't do much of anything...   just lounged around the house and took it very easy.   My wife and I were planning to see a movie.  I still had the movies passes,  the ones I got from Jessica and Celine.   (The chocolates they gave me for my birthday were of course... "history")   But there was not a single movie that we had an interest in seeing.   And much of what was out there we categorized as "wait till the video comes out" material.

Well, we DID go out to do some shopping in the afternoon.   We bought the boys some CD-ROMs,  some educational software appropriate for their grade level and features math, reading, and other problem solving skills,  all presented in the form of a game to make it fun.   The boys were on these programs all day and I didn't get much computer time,  but I guess I needed a break from that as well.
