More Blistering Heat And Humidity

Drove my wife to work this morning.   I don't mind at all.   She gets stressed out at times when she's on the freeway,  I feel better relieving her of the additional burden,  especially with the stress she gets from her work.

I could tell today was going to be another hot and humid day.

I realized today that I don't have any more knee problems  (knock on serious wood here) and that it hadn't occurred to me that about a month ago I felt like I needed knee surgery.   I somehow had forgotten to take my medications.   Oddly enough,  one of my brothers-in-law just got out of the hospital following knee surgery.

I was able to update my journal site,  and actually bring it up to date.   I need to work on the poetry site and get those new poems up.

I'm very happy to see more e-mail posts on my "A Poetic Journey" mailing list.   I hope to see more activity going on and more posts of original poetry.

On Saturday I drank two ounces of wheatgrass juice not really knowing the consequences.   I later read that if you drink too much at first,  you can get sick because the toxins may be released too quickly into the bloodstream.   I'd been feeling sick these past few days and I think it was due to the toxins being released into the system.   I'd been plagued with headaches,  chest pains, and nausea.

Well,  the last couple of days have been marred by strange nightmares too.   In one of them I was being pursued by some evil,  relentless alien creature.   I was supposed to be this humanoid that could blend in perfectly with my surrounds,  sort of like the alien in Predator.   But only in this nightmare there was a twist.   I was the one being stalked by this alien but I could hide by blending in.   The feelings of this nightmare were very realistic to me.   I woke up pretty shaken,  for in the nightmare the alien was always close by.
