Aunt Jemima's Doo-Rag
Her name is Kitty Clementine. When she arrived from her temporary home, her name was Cinderella.
Yuck.
She was nameless for about a week, but we called her Kitty, to which she responds quite well.

I am very allergic to her, which is part of how she ended up with us. The previous "permanent home" person was allergic. If she were a kitten, I don't think I'd have worried much about her getting placed. The other part, which probably contributes even more to her having a permanent home with us, is that she's positive for FIV.

Even though FIV doesn't really reduce the quality of life for Kitty Clementine, it does mean that she'll always be a carrier of this disease. We'll keep her indoors and make sure she stays nice and comfortable. The FIV, being sort of furry and allergenic, and not being a kitten stacks up to her staying in the adoption pool for longer than she should. So, we took her.

Things worked quickly, too. Papers were rushed through the well-meaning bureaucracy, the agency waived the adoption fee, and the foster person dropped our new cat off a day later.

I'm a bit wheezy, but the husband's in brighter spirits. I guess he needed to live with cat again. She needs lots of cuddles, so it's hard to read my daily book, but I think she needed a home more than I need to read that much more.

I'll let you know how I feel about this in another few months.

I'm afraid to look...

One of the CDs from my Quadrophenia set broke inside my computer's drive as I was importing the songs into iTunes.

There's got to be at least a third left in bits inside my computer.
Behold what I was able to remove...
Clementine
Scrawls, mad like Lou Rawls.
Read some of my rants, a couple of essays, some movie reviews, some thoughts.
