Well this is the new look of the site. I think it'll be cleaner this way... hopefully it will just pop. Also as soon as my url issues get resolved this will be located at graftark.com instead of hosted on geocities. You still want to see the old one? Well I just happened to keep it around... click here!

 First update in 2005
Written on: January 28th, 2005
Well a little late in the month for the first of 2005 but... I've been busy. Well I didn't get Torque but I decided to focus on character modeling and get more work done with the NWN module. The character is coming along quite well, it's based on some sketches I did for a male drow, the model is pretty much done so I'm going to be building the skeleton for it, and animate. I have to find out how to get that to work with UT2k4 because thats the main goal. I'll be posting screenshots of that guy soon. Then there's the Neverwinter Nights module, no matter how much I want to sink time into some other project I always end up in front of that damn toolset. Not a bad thing though, I've been reading the Mabinogion which gave me so many quest ideas that I am now focusing the mod on the Arthurian tales. While not exclusively Mabinogion content, there are the elements. I almost have the story of the Lady and the Fountain complete and might I say that it's coming along nicely. I have to fatten up the dialogs a bit but the bones are there.

I must also add that I read through the first four issues of Sean Wang's Runners series, and I must say "Holy crap!" This opening story arc is great, I really enjoy the pace of them. I suggest that you don't pick up just one, get as many issues as you can because you are not going to want to stop reading. I am looking forward very much to issue five which I gather should wrap the arc up nicely.

 Holiday Times

Well 'tis the season for spreading joy and merriment, well in theory anyway. I'm getting closer to hosting the NWN module, I installed MySQL and the NWN-FF database for the module in hopes to get it persistant, it's all working fine as far as I can tell, so now I have to find out how to store quests in a persistant manner. I've also been taking another look at the Torque engine trying to see if I really want to try that or if I should continue on using the UT2K4 tools. The thing I like about Torque is that you start pretty much from the ground up, whereas with UT2k4 there's all their game resource, and I also want to check into the way their scripted/programmed. Well that was a run-on sentence.
