BUNAWANON'S PROFILES
  Agusanon is the major ethnic group  in Bunawan, followed by the migrant Ilokano’s and Cebuano’s. Other groups include Surigaonon, Waray, Boholano and Manobo. (the latter are indigenous people who are usually found living on floating houses in barangays along the Agusan Marsh.)

    Romano Catholic is pre dominant with smatterings of UCCP, Iglesia ni Cristo, Seventh Day Adventist, Aglipay, and Jehovah’s Witness.

    The major dialect is Cebeuano-Visayan but Agusanon, Manobo, Boholano, Ilokano and Waray are also spoken. English and Filipino can be fairly spoken and understood by locals.

    The Type G climate of Bunawan is characterized by an even distribution of rainfall with no marked seasonality. The recorded annual average rainfall is 150.35. A wet season with heavy precipitation occurs from the month of December to early part March.There is no pronounced  dry season.
