UNDER 13 BUCKS FINAL @ Dr Challoners

Dr Challoners v Highcrest: Alex & Charlotte opened the batting for Challoners & when Alex fell to a sharp catch by Hailey, in the 3rd over,  DCHS had been held to 14 runs Accurate bowling & tight fielding preventing the balls reaching the walls for their bonus runs, kept the batters tied down. Abby & Charlotte taking the home team's total to 44-2 off their 8 overs.

In Highcrest's 2nd over Fatima had Hayley caught by Alex, which was a mixed blessing as  Sophie now teamed up with Natalie & together they moved the score along steadily, picking up 5 boundary wall hits to swell their total to 58. Natalie finished on 12 not out & Sophie on 17 not out.

Highcrest won by 11 runs.

Highcrest v Chesham High: Chesham were held up at the start by the Crest bowlers & when Haley clean bowled Catherine with their score on 10 it brought Rachel to join Helen at the crease. This pair made 40 with some lusty blows, Then Sophie forced an upish shot from Rachel & Aimee had no trouble pouching the catch.Helen carried her bat through the innings, finishing on a forceful 18 not out in the Chesham total of  48.

In their reply  Highcrest were patient at the start of their innings & when Hannalie had Natalie caught for 3 runs Highcrest  had only made 6 runs from the bat.. With the arrival of Sophie the runs began to flow & despite a tight over from Caroline they raced to 33, before Carys accounted for Haley

With the experienced Tasha at the crease now it seemed10 to win off the last over was still a possibility for Highcrest. They smashed a 6 & with one ball to go, just needed a single but Chesham High denied them. Chesham High (3 points) win by 1 run. Highcrest gain 1bonus point as they lost by less than 10 runs.

Chesham High v Dr Challoners:  Batting first Chesham were soon knocked back when star batter Helen was caught by Aby off Alex, in the opening over. But Rachel took up the cause hitting 2 consecutive 4s before Sarah Jane had her caught by Alex. Wickets fell regularly with Charlotte & Sarah Jane both taking 3 wickets for 7 runs, and Chesham High making 31 runs off their 8 overs.

Captain Sarah Jane decided to open the batting and helped take the score to 49 before Caroline had her caught by Helen. With batting support from Alex, Sarah E and Aby, Challoners eventually came out winners by 30 runs.

UNDER 13 PRELIMINARY ROUND @ Aylesbury College

Chesham Park v The Grange: Opening the bowling for The Grange, Michelle took  quick wickets pegging back the Park team, until Sadie found her touch to power 20 runs, before being retired. Smart fielding & indecision from the Chesham side saw the wickets tumble with their batting total held to 42.

The Grange's reply was well paced and their score crept to 40 before Megan bowled Tasha for 11. Jenny batted on making 16 not out in their match winning total of 53.

The Grange WIN by 12 runs.

Chesham High v The Grange; Batting first Chesham High had made 17 before losing  both Catherine &Caroline to run outs. The High finished with a flourish as Olivia hit a 4 and Becca was inspired to hit 4 more from Tasha's last over.  Jenny, Sophie & Sanah all took 1 wicket for 8 & Becca was 20 not out. Tasha & Jenny batted quietly, finding the side walls for 1 run at a time rather than risk taking runs. By the 6th over they had made 23 when  Jenny was bowled by Caroline for 15, Catherine & Hannalie continued bowling tightly and Grange finished with Tasha not out 14,  still  9 runs behind the Chesham High total.

Chesham High WIN by 9 runs, gain  3points, The Grange  gain 1 point as they were beaten by less than 10 runs.

Chesham High v Chesham Park: There was something about the Park bowling that did not suit the High batters.  Diya Lauren, & Catherine, were all bowled out as Chesham High scored 15 runs with their bats in the first 4 overs. Then Caroline & Rosie crashed   boundaries to lift their team total to a more challenging  46. Sadie took 2 for 8 & Shareen 2 for 10.

The Park made a slow start then  lost 2 wickets in their 3rd over but  with  Charlotte teaming up with Kim in a match winning  stand, they overhauled their rivals' total. Charlotte retired on 20, Kim scored 8.
