Ballinger colts U11 v Bucks U13
Bucks began their innings slowly. Come good
bowling by all the Ballinger boys made scoring difficult for the
girls. V. O'Neill and E. Gray top scored for Bucks with 13 and 10*
respectively.
Ballinger batted steadily and looked to be well
on their way to victory. Then K.Kang came on to bowl, she was very
penetrating and took 3 for 15 off 4. C. Webster also bowled well
bowling 1 over for 1 run. J. Wells and B. Holt top scored for
Ballinger getting 16* each and leading Ballinger to victory.
RESULT:
Bucks 66/5, Ballinger 67/6

Bucks U13 v Middlesex U13
Middlesex batted first and were patient out in
the middle. Roscoe top scored with 22 and Roberts was a firm
opener with 17 runs. L. Stoddart bowled tightly for bucks taking 1
for 13 off 5 and G. Crompton was also penetrating taking 2
wickets.
Bucks started off slowly. V. O'Neill came in in
the 8th over, she batted very positively hitting 5 fours to reach
33. Some accurate bowling by Nixon (4 overs 5 runs) and Roscoe (3
overs 12 runs 2 wickets) stopped Bucks from reaching their
target..
RESULT:Middlesex 157/7, Bucks 90/7

Brighton
Sussex U13 v Bucks U13
Sussex batted first and some fine bowling from
the Bucks team kept all bar 2 of their batsmen from reaching
double figures. G. Crompton bowled outstandingly for Bucks taking
5 wickets from 7 overs for 28 runs. Holly H. kept Sussex's hopes
for the match alive by dominating the crease to finish unbeaten on
50*.
Bucks batted defensively with V. O'Neill and L.
Earl top scoring with 15 and 18* respectively. However, all the
Sussex bowlers (notably Lottie; 3 overs, 5 runs, 1 wicket and
Katie; 3 overs, 6 runs, 2 wickets) bowled tightly to win the
match.
RESULT: Sussex
113/5, Bucks 71/8

Bucks U13 v Essex U13
Bucks won the toss and elected to bat first.
Some tight bowling from Essex ( J. Guest 3 overs, 1 run, 1wicket
and S. James 3 overs, 2 runs 2 wickets) kept Bucks to a low total.
Essex batted dominantly with B. Wild making a
superb 37* and N. Vivian providing good support with 15*. Bucks
bowled tightly with G. Crompton bowling 3 overs for 6 and V.
O'Neill bowling 5 overs for 10. However, this good, accurate
bowling was not enough to stop Essex from reaching their target.
RESULT:
Bucks 74/9, Essex 141/1

Middlesex U13 vBucks U13
Bucks batted first and found scoring hard with
the unusually high bounce. V. O'Neill and L. Stoddart top scored
reaching 11 and 12* respectively. Some tight bowling from L.
Roberts (2 wickets) and S. Domone (2 wickets) kept Bucks to a low
total.
Middlesex batted sensibly, protecting their
wickets well, with L. Roberts and B. Leich reaching 15* and 14
each. A. Mitchell took 3 wickets for Bucks and V. O'Neill and L.
Stoddart took 2 each. Bucks failed to stop Middlesex from reaching
their target.
RESULT: Bucks 105/6, Middlesex 106/7
