KWIK CRICKET
TOURNAMENT Wed 25 May 2005 at Chesham Cricket Club
After six weeks of cricket coaching in their schools from Rob & Tina all the girls teams were looking forward to their special day at Chesham CC . Luckily the
day dawned dry, even if rather
overcast as the girls arrived & set about the serious part of the
proceedings….. eating their lunch in preparation for an afternoon of
competition. Using the free hit off the T for the batting side, if they
had been bowled a wide increased
the scoring opportunities & kept the fielders on their toes. With 8 teams
competing & 4 pitches in use, everyone was kept busy, hitting 6’s
& 4’s in all directions & later retrieving the balls from the
far corners of Chesham cricket club. Chenies,,Little
Chalfont, Chartridge, Ley Hill, Thomas Harding, Waterside, Prestwood,
Brushwood all took part. By 3
o’clock the sun had broken through, everyone had had a great time,
especially Ley Hill, who just
beat Chartridge in their final game.
