NEWS: Jan 04 Under 13s start to build a
squad for summer 2004……. With record numbers coming to our Under13 development sessions it was no easy task to decide exactly who to name in our new squad. The session at Buckingham saw some new faces to the scene & then even more players came to H Wycombe to add their names & cricketing skills to our dilemma. Today’s session at Mandeville School saw 35 girls try out the sweep shot, then test their bowling & fielding skills before facing the challenge of a full nets session. The five coaches needed all their collective skills (& tact too) when it came to selecting who should continue with the winter course. In the end the decision was made……14 girls were named in the U 13 squad and a further 11 were invited to winter training with the chance to be added to the 2004 Squad in Feb/March. By then the girls will have had a chance to do more hardball practice & increase their understanding of the game. After the full winter training Jade Butcher, Lorna Browne & Heather McNeill were added to the make up the full U13 squad. Coach Roger, and managers Eileen & Tina look forward to seeing you all at Aylesbury College on Sunday 8th Feb for our first full session |
