Sunday 3rd March U15 Indoor Match
We Feel it would be appropriate to offer a competitive edge to this
session at R.G.S, whilst your parents are learning about the finer
elements of scoring! So during the Under 15 coaching session, 2 squad
teams of similar strength will play an indoor match against each other and
then each play a match against a visiting County U15 team. We need to know
as soon as possible which U15's will definitely be coming on that date so
we can plan our team selection.
Please speak to Eileen and book your place in the Bucks team NOW!
BUCKS GIRLS CRICKET FESTIVAL: Mon 22nd - Fri 26th July 2002
We are very keen to give girls a growing list of opportunities to play
cricket, so we are proposing to run our first ever Bucks Girls Cricket
Festival from Monday 22nd July- Friday 26th. Needless to say before we can
move ahead with the idea we would like to meet and discuss ideas with
parents and what venue than a pub near you! What we have in mind for the
festival is to arrange different venues around the county each day where
we will put on a range of activities and matches, for all ages and skill
levels. We hope a large number of youngsters and adults will get involved,
even if only for one day or at one venue. Would you be interested in
meeting up, contributing ideas and perhaps becoming part of a small
working party?
we would like this first 'IDEAS ONLY, PUB MEETING' in the first week of
Mon 11th Feb.
Contact us if your
interested or give Tina a phone and volunteer your local! What better
start!
Southern Counties U15/U13 Tournament
Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hook , Hants
Monday 19th - Friday 23rd August 2002
Lord Wandsworth College is a boarding school, with excellent sporting
facilities.
The tournament consists of 5 days of competitive cricket against other
county teams. Each match is 40 overs per side.
Accommodation is in the College and includes cleaning, bedding and use of
laundry (just to keep those cricket whites white!)
All meals inclusive (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner).
We have use of indoor swimming pool, football pitches etc. Each
residential house has its own TV lounge, table tennis and games room.
Last years girls found they did not need much pocket money, just a few
coins to feed the drinks machine was all they required. We expect the
total cost to be around £90.
Eileen and Tina are planning to take a squad of 12/13 girls and in the
first instance would like to invite girls from the U15 squad. Eileen needs
to know which girls are interested and available. If you would like to be
included in the squad please contact Eileen for further details. A deposit
of £30 by Saturday 23rd February, will also be required with cheques made
out to 'Bucks Cricket Board'.
There are likely to be many girls interested in making the journey to Hook
as it was such a successful trip last year. Demand for places could well
exceed supply, the strongest squad will be selected. Girls will be
notified by mid March of the squad details and a reserve list of
players retained.
