The board stated that there has beenno new information presented.Correspondence The board reviewed the following correspondence:Conestoga Valley School District NewsletterI letter from Kim Seldomridge to the Board thanking them for agreeing to pay half theflashing light and also to inform them the children on South State Street will becontacted about having bus services. The board asked about the process of installingthis light. The board understood that West Earl Township would pay the School Districtfor 'A of the cost of the light (light should cost approximately $6,500.00). The SchoolDistrict would install and maintain the light.Public Comment/GuestsMark Johnston from RGS, Jim Oswald, Fairmount Homes and the residents who access CatsBack Road would like to discuss traffic issues on Cat's Back Road with the Board. They wouldlike to reduce the speed limit, have rumble strips installed on the hill, have a white linepainted at the right side of the road across the entrance to the home with a rumble stripalong side the white line, and have convex traffic mirrors installed. Thomas Briggs asked ifthis process will work. Past attempts at controlling the speed have failed. All of these itemswill slow down the traffic but the local people who drive this everyday will eventually notnotice it. Sylvan Fisher advised the mirrors are not approved by Penn Dot as a traffic device. The mirrors are not reliable and are often broken. Some people get confused whenwatching the mirror and not the road. The board feels the white line will help keep peopleon the road and not the entrance way to the home.
