BRAMPTON QUILTERS' GUILD INC.
History of the Brampton Quilters' Guild Inc.
The Brampton Quilters' Guild Inc. was founded by a group of night school students and their teacher. The first meeting was held on September 10, 1987, with fourteen people attending. The membership has grown every year and it now varies between 120 to 160. The members meet every month between September and June and participate in quilt related programmes.
The Brampton Quilters' Guild's first project incorporated the Dresden Plate design. This quilt, when completed, was designated the Guild's mascot. It depicts our guild logo, The Dresden Plate, and its colours are those of the Guild: pink and burgundy.
