BRAMPTON QUILTERS' GUILD INC.
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Volunteers are always welcome to join us.
Community projects are an opportunity for Guild members to give something back to the community.
The Brampton Quilters' Guild donates the following:
- Christmas gift bags for Elizabeth Fry Society of
Peel-Halton and Interim Place
- Cuddle Quilts for the children of Interim Place and the
Salvation Army - Honeychurch
- Family Life Resource Centre
- Lap Quilts for nursing home residents
- Memory Quilts for the perinatal bereavement ward of the
William Osler Health Centre - Brampton Civic Hospital
- Pet mats for the Brampton Animal Shelter
- Placemats for Meals on Wheels
- Christmas Caring and Sharing - A time when we collect
toiletries, small gifts and various items that are donated to the
Salvation Army, Interim Place and Elizabeth Fry Society of Peel-Halton.
- Conduct Pet Mat workshops in the High Schools
A small committee organizes these projects and with the participation of the membership succeeds in donating hundreds of items per year.
