Brooklyn Price-Thompson

Originally from small town Iowa, Brooklyn moved to Southern Utah to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Utah Tech University. In addition to her Bachelor's degree, she has an emphasis in Data Analytics and a minor in Computer Science. Brooklyn also has certifications in:

• Modeling and Simulation

She particularly enjoys using differential equations to create mathemtical models for real-world events. She enjoys making models for a variety of topics including, populations, diseases, financial, and resource distribution. Some of her most used programming languages include:

Brooklyn has over 1 year of professional experience in the data world, but throughout her education she has created countless models and presented them in conferences, including the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. She has received Honorable Mentions in international modeling competitions as well as outstanding recognition in national competitions.

When she isn't working on a dataset, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family. Brooklyn is an avid hiker, camper, and musician. She loves singing, playing her flute, playing the piano, and is attempting to learn the violin.

In addition to her musical, and outdoors interests, she has a passion for learning. She wholeheartedly believes that learning is a life-long pursuit and the need to learn doesn't stop at a degree or certification. She looks forward to all the new data and programming techinques she will learn over the course of her career.
