WATCH THE FIELD GROW

It's about time! The dedication of the new baseball field at Van Nuys High School took place on Tuesday, April 13th 2004, and the first game was played on Wednesday April 14th. Although the inaugural game was a loss, there was reason to celebrate as junior Victor Manzo hit the first ever home run at the newly christened "Drysdale Field".

The following pictures were taken in approximately the same spots over a three month period. The first picture in each series was taken during the project's first week, the second picture was taken six weeks into the project, and the final picture in each series was taken on the 14th of April.

These last few shots add a few more details to the field. Check back in weeks to come for further shots of the field, the dedication and even some action shots!
