How and when did Yancy get started as an actress?
Her very first paying gig was a guest appearance on the Law & Order episode, Misconceptions, in 1991. Her first real break however, came with the lead role of 'Eve' - the machine part of the sci-fi show Mann & Machine back in 1992. It's not at all common to be offered a lead part in a major network TV show so early in your career, but due to her unique features and exceptional talents she was chosen and did an amazing job playing the android.

What else has she been in?

While growing up in the concrete jungle of New York City, she went to Brooklyn Friends School, and Sarah Lawrence College

Why is Yancy still not a "star"?
I wish I had a satisfying answer to this question... I really do. Her career has had its ups and downs, but things were looking very rosy up until that unforeseen hiccup with the release of 'Let it be me' it seems. The movies she did after that, Fast Money and The Ex ended up on cable and direct-to-video lists. For some reason she lost her leading lady status and went on to do stuff like guest appearances on Third Watch. Hopefully, Witchblade will at least put her back on the leading lady list.

Is Yancy married or dating?
Yancy was single at the time of writing.

Does she "surf the net"? Does she ever look at her fan sites?
Apparently she owns a Apple iBook and reportedly she has been online. Has she visited this site? Maybe. Who knows...

What is her color?
Red.

How does she keep so fit?
She is a firm believer in yoga, but finds it often takes a lot of time. The ideal thing is about 45 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weight training. On the nutrition front, she eats egg whites, high-protein energy foods and drinks about 10 bottles of water per day.

Does she smoke in real life?
Yes, she does smoke.

What is her favorite food?
Prosciutto di Parma - widely considered to be the world's best ham.

What kind TV Shows does she watch?
She said she likes bursts of comedy, like Friends for example.

Her all time favorite film?
Gloria.

Does she collect anything?
Apparently she collects hotel keys. She also said she collected stamps as a kid.

Her representation. Who, where, and when?
As far as I know the whole representation thing went more or less something like this: She started (in 1991?) with Innovative Artists and Joan Horowitz.
In 1994, she left Innovative and some time later signed with Gersh. Then a bit later (1995?) she left Joan to sign with Peg Donegan.
In 1996 she left Gersh for William Morris Agency (Alyson Band). A bit later (late 1996 - early 1997?) Alyson left William Morris for United Talent Agency and Yancy left with her. Finally in late 2000 she left UTA and in 2001 signed with Writers and Artists Agency.

What is her favorite Mann & Machine episode?
Apparently it is the episode called "Billion Dollar Baby", wherein Eve takes custody of a baby and is reluctant to give up the child when the case is concluded.
