Canadian
boy 'Dave' was visiting a University in Toronto and stumbled upon some
filming, good for him:
"My
friend and I were walking through University of Toronto last Saturday when
we spotted a film crew making a production of something called "Witchblade".
I presume that this was an adaptation of the Top Cow comic (http://www.topcow.com/).
The logos were identical.
The
shot involved the main entrance to University College. It was seven p.m.
and overcast. The archways were lit by dark-yellow spotlights recessed
out of sight. The driveway outside was hosed down. The main door was wide
open, with a bright white light shining out. The appearance was definitely
one of a haunted house.
Opposite
the entrance stood a NYC ambulance and firetruck, with NYC police officers
and other stand-bys milling around. Two cameras were set up: one inside
the ambulance looking at the college, and another on a dolly outside. The
intended scene was of someone bursting out of the main doors and loaded
onto the ambulance. The cameramen practiced the pan several times.
Unfortunately,
that's all we got. We stood around for an hour, but no one recognizable
appeared, and the crew were still preparing for the shot. We were late,
so we took off."
