Fatal
Attraction meets The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
In
the spirit of Fatal Attraction, Yancy Butler (Drop Zone) is the latest
femme fatality in the video graveyard of bitter-babe flicks. The plot:
Hoping to leave his sordid S&M past and psychotic ex-wife Butler behind
forever, an architect (Nick Mancuso) moves to the big city, remarries and
has a child. Sorry, rabbit, tricks are for kids. Mancuso’s deceit catches
up with him seven years later, when his ex comes around looking buff and
hungry for hard sex and sweet revenge. A platinum DTV, director Mark L.
Lester delivers an almost mainstream quality picture complimented by its
solid writing, cinematography and casting (except for the dorky kid who
is about as convincing as the Presley/Jackson marriage). Like all movies
in this genre, the payoff depends almost solely on the female lead, and
Butler delivers the menace in a cartoonish fashion. Whether she’s pumping
weights or an unsuspecting business man, Butler is often braless and always
maniacal. She kills a guy while she's nude, engages in lesbian phone sex,
and brings psycho-bitch chic to an all new level. Did I mention she kills
a guy while she's nude?
