Yancy briefly appeared on CNN in August 2000 to promote Witchblade. This is an extract from the transcript:

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

PAUL VERCAMMEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): It looks like "The Terminator" meets "Charlie's Angels" in TNT's "Witchblade."

Sara Pezzini plays a New York Cop whose conjures up a weapon. 

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "WITCHBLADE")

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: The Witchblade has powers, many powers, but only the person who yields it can truly know them all. Haven't you felt different since it found you? 

YANCY BUTLER, ACTRESS: That's an understatement.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VERCAMMEN: ... is based on the comic book "Witchblade."

BUTLER: Playing the lead character of a comic book, it's scary. You want to please everybody. And certainly we know that that can't happen. 

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "WITCHBLADE")

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: The witchblade -- the gauntlet has chosen you. You must accept it. Use it or lose it. And if you don't deserve it, if you don't earn it, it will abandon you.
