California's Route 139


439.  Route 139 is from:
   (a) Route 36 in Susanville to Route 299 near Adin.
   (b) Route 299 near Canby to the Oregon state line near Hatfield.

      Route 139 from Route 299 near Canby to the Oregon state line near
Hatfield.

Notes
      For some unexplicable reason, Route 139 is dubbed as "Joint Highway 14"
near Susanville.
      The route comes in contact with Modoc National Forest several times.
It then cuts through it north of Route 299.  The forest has a wildlife
refuge five miles off Route 139, on Clear Lake Road and then heading east.
