Bob Drury - Brief Musical Biog

    First public performance at the age of 12 at a Folk and Blues Festival.

    Semi-pro in Pub, Club and College circuits for 7 years playing rock, pop, reggae, soul and blues.

    Guitarist in Jeremy Mount�s Kent based contemporary jazz outfit �No Reply� from 1992 to 1994

    Began serious study of classical 'finger-style' guitar in mid twenties. Graduated with BA (Hons) Music in 1997 and MA in Music Performance in 2000 (Canterbury Christ Church University College).

    Bandleader and guitarist for Kent based function bands �Some Like It Hot� and �A Band Called Red� from 1994 to 2004.

    Developed career as a solo classical guitarist performing at Arts and Music Festivals in Birmingham, Canterbury, Dover, and Hythe (Kent). Appeared on Meridian TV�s �Al Fresco� food and drink programme performing own composition �Nocturne�. Also provided guitar music for many functions such as weddings, special dinners, theme evenings, corporate events, etc.

    Solo Guitar/Vocal project began in Nov 2004. Has since performed extensively all over the UK and overseas for *Corporate clients, Clubs, Casinos, Theatres as well as many private family events both large and small with a repertoire that includes classical, folk, swing, blues and rock as well as his own original songs.

    *inc. Mercedes Cars, Bentley Cars, Pfizer UK, Fenwicks, Borders Books (Oxford Street), Debenhams, Channel Tunnel (France/UK), Bluewater, Bourne Leisure, Ramada Jarvis...

    Resident Guitarist in the King Size, a 500 capacity venue in Lausanne, Switzerland during November 2006 and March 2007 performing solo vocal/acoustic guitar sets.

    Appeared on GMTV with Keith Chegwin in August 2007 playing and singing rock and roll for a live morning feature on the Richard Arnold Show.

    Continues to specialise in providing solo guitar music for weddings and corporate events.
